Tim joined the CAT Projects team at the beginning of 2016 after completing a Master of Engineering in Sustainable Energy at RMIT. His thesis involved the design and commissioning of a solar thermal testing unit, which is currently used at RMIT to determine the performance of innovative solar thermal technologies.

During his studies, Tim also worked for a range of energy efficiency companies, undertaking energy audits on commercial systems and monitoring energy usage as a means of reducing excess consumption. He now brings his specialist skills and experience to CAT Projects where he is providing support to a number of projects, including:

  • The operations and maintenance of the Desert Knowledge Australia Solar Centre

  • Assisting project management of an 175kW PV installation at Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre

  • Managing processes to maintain internal quality assurance practices and accreditation

  • Writing feasibility studies for PV design, battery integration and energy efficiency options
