Michael is the Operations Manager at CAT Projects. He has worked with CAT Projects since 2008, managing a range of projects within Australia and in eight different countries across the Asia Pacific. He brings a high degree of leadership and capability to this role.
Michael has worked in the clean energy industry since 2001 across all aspects of policy, project and programme development, and field level deployment, delivering advisory services to government agencies, regulatory bodies, community organisations and end users across remote Australia, South Asia and the Pacific. Examples of Michael's roles include:
- Lead role in the development of holistic techno-socio-economic feasibility assessments for the Cook Islands' Uira Natura ki te Tokerau (Solar Power for the North Project); and advice to the Government on tariff policy for the outer islands
- Technical advisory services to the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environmental Programme in support of the delivery of renewable energy project in the Pacific under the PIGGAREP+ project
- Access to energy specialist (consultant) for the ADB providing advisory services for the identification, technical and financial assessment, and development of off-grid energy projects, including advice on financing structures
- Engagement as an independent external expert on sustainable energy for the EU-GIZ ACSE Programme (Pacific Region), Regional Assessment Board
